CYPRUS – IMPORT REGULATIONS

At the time when this information sheet was compiled the following information and requirements were correct:

CUSTOM REQUIREMENTS 

Cyprus is now a member of the European Union and the only document required is a copy of the customers passport

FOR MOTOR CARS DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

- Passport
- Registration document
- Driving licence
- Road insurance
- Proof of settling permanently in Cyprus (rental agreement and/or lease and residence permit)

CUSTOMS PRESCRIPTIONS

- Possession and use of the car by the person concerned for a minimum of 6 months   before the arrival.
- Consignee must be physically present to the port during customs clearance.

WHARFAGE TAX
* Cars under 2 tons - CYP30
* Cars above 2 tons - CYP90

REMARKS

- Exemption is granted for one vehicle per person
