UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – IMPORT REGULATIONS

At the time of compiling this information sheet the following documentation is required to import household effects in the United Arab Emirates:

• Two copies of an inventory of your goods
• Photocopy of the first five pages of your passport

Customs Regulations for Personal Effects and Household Goods

Personal effects and household goods are usually admitted duty free into the United Arab Emirates as long as the items are used.

The following items are prohibited

• Weapons and ammunition (even toys)
• Alcohol and drugs
• All pornographic material
• Wireless transmitters
• Products of Israeli blacklisted manufacturers
• Exposed movie films
• Political and religious literature needs prior approval from the Ministry of Information
