Dartmouth was founded in 1750. It is located in Nova Scotia. The city is officially known as “Capital District”. In 1750, 151 immigrants arrived by ship. They were settled in the area called "Boonamoogwaddy" opposite to Halifax Harbour. It was renamed as Dartmouth after the first Earl of Dartmouth William Legge who was also a nobleman in Queen Anne’s court. The population of the city in 2001 census was 65,741. Dartmouth is divided into districts as follows: 5-Dartmouth centre, 6- The Lakes, 7- Woodlawn, 8- Easter Passage and 9- Harborview. Dartmouth experiences a Maritime climate.
